Beach Retreat Lodgers
Day of Arrival!

 
 

Here are your day of arrival instructions: IF YOU ARE STAYING AT THE BEACH RETREAT & LODGE CHECK IN THERE FIRST! Once your dog gets to the 4H they will be too excited to leave! This way you can check in, drop off your luggage, and head over to the 4H with nothing left to worry about. After checking in at the Beach Retreat drive on over to the 4H Campground & complete your registration process. This is where we will collect your paperwork, give you your swag bags and get you oriented to the facilities & schedule. You will have a chance to visit with old friends & make new ones before dinner at the 4H camp.

  • I will be requesting refrigerators in all the rooms.

  • All rooms should be ground floor.

  • All rooms should have a coffee/tea maker, blow dryers, and outdoor sitting area.

  • The hotel has good, free wifi and excellent cell phone reception.You will be given the wifi code at check in. A parking pass should be provided for you.

  1. Check in at the Beach Retreat begins at 4:00.

  2. You will check in at the special registration tables in the patio behind the lobby where you will give them a credit/debit card for incidentals and will get your room keys and parking pass.

  3. Drop-off your luggage and get settled in.

  4. Head on over to the 4H facility. You will be texted via group text the gate code for the 4H facility at 4:00. You will not be able to get in before that time. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WE HAVE YOUR CORRECT MOBILE NUMBER.

  5. Check-in with Wild Blue Dogs registration, located at the 4H Main Lodge.

    DO NOT BRING THEM TO THE REGISTRATION TABLE

    Settle them by the picnic tables or benches, with plenty of space between dogs (they might be a little nervous when they first arrive and cramming them all together at the registration table is a bad idea).

    DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ROAM THE GROUNDS or BEACH UNTIL YOUR PAPERWORK IS DONE! 

  6. If you did not already email or text a copy of your rabies vaccination or titers to Megan, I will need a copy now. (DO NOT FORGET THIS-I CAN NOT ADMIT YOU TO ANY EVENT WITHOUT IT- NOT EVEN DINNER!).

  7. You will sign 4 release forms. Three are photographic releases saying that we can photograph you and your dog and use the images commercially. The other form is a standard limited liability release.

  8. You can then roam the grounds, go down to the beach (it opens at 4pm) or wherever your heart desires-just make sure that you show up in time for Yappy Hour at 5:15 and dinner at the 4H Main Lodge (the area where you registered) about 6:15.

  9. After dinner you will have time to toilet your dog(s) and we will have a brief welcome and Q & A session, and then off to bed for a good night's sleep.

  10. Next morning activities begin with breakfast at 8:00.
